Johnny Depp's $91k co-star
------------------------------Johnny Depp will be starring alongside one of his biggest fans in his new movie 'Public Enemies'. The fan paid a staggering $91,000 to appear as an extra in a non-speaking role opposite the Oscar-nominated actor in the film which tells the story of America's criminal folk hero John Dillinger. Money from the charitybuzz.com auction will go to the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial, a living memorial which aims to "advance the human rights movement through providing innovative support to courageous human rights defenders around the world who have won the RFK Human Rights Award".
Charitybuzz.com CEO Coppy Holzman said: "We are thrilled to have been able to raise so much money for Robert's wife Ethel Kennedy and The RFK Memorial." Other experiences available in the auction, which runs until May 14, include the chance to meet Will Smith at the premiere of his new film 'Hancock' and the opportunity to star in hit US TV show 'Numb3rs'.
Johnny Depp's summer wedding>
----------------------------------Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are getting married on June 14, it has been claimed. The pair - who have been together for over 10 years and have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and six-year-old Jack - have always insisted they don't feel the need to legalise their relationship, but French singer Vanessa is now keen to tie the knot. A source close to the couple is quoted on website MSNBC as saying: "Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that's what would make her happy, then he would marry her." 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Johnny - who recently said the couple were "for all intents and purposes married" - is planning to have the ceremony in Georgia to make it convenient for his family who live in Florida. The source added: "Lily-Rose and Jack are really excited about it. Actually - the whole family is excited. They're going to send out invitations in a few weeks."
Johnny has previously admitted he would be reluctant to tie the knot because he loves Vanessa's surname. He said: "It would be a shame to ruin her last name! It's so perfect - Vanessa Paradis. So beautiful. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It's like a flat note! "But if she ever said, 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second. We'll do it if the kids want us to, or maybe when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with us."
Johnny Depp's love video
--------------------------------Johnny Depp has directed lover Vanessa Paradis' new music video. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor - who has two children with Paradis - also seemingly makes a cameo appearance in the video for 'L'incendie', a French song which translates as 'The Fire' in English. The three-minute video shows Paradis dancing on the stage of an empty theatre wearing a flowing peach dress, while being observed by a male stranger wearing a hat - believed to be Depp, although his face is never shown. Paradis' microphone stand then bursts into flames and the floor ignites with her every step.
At the end of the video, Paradis meets the stranger and, in a bright explosion of fire, the pair disappear. 'L'incendie' is taken from Paradis' album 'Divine Idylle', a record that has already topped the French and Belgian album charts. The 35-year-old beauty was also crowned Best French Female Artist and won Best Pop Album at the recent Victories De La Musique awards.
Johnny Depp's Dali auditions
----------------------------------Johnny Depp is holding open auditions to find screenwriters for his latest movie. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star will play surrealist painter Salvador Dali in new film 'Dali' and is keen to get the right script, regardless of who it comes from.
A source said: "He'sopen to working with anyone - from housewives to pensioners - if the script is right." Depp is not the only Hollywood star set to portray the eccentric artist on the big screen. Al Pacino and Peter O'Toole are being lined up to star in rival movies, 'Dali and I' and 'Goodbye Dali' respectively. Asked why so many films were being made 18 years after the artist's death, Peter Rawley, producer of 'Dali', said: "Film-makers somehow pick up on the vibe. But three films is nothing, at one stage, we counted up to nine." Dali - who died in 1989, aged 84 - was famed for his technical genius as well as his showmanship and once gave a lecture dressed in a diver's suit.
His most famous works include 'The Persistence of Memory', 'The Face of Mae West', 'The Metamorphosis of Narcissus' and 'The Temptation of St. Anthony'.
Johnny Depp's Burton torment
---------------------------------Johnny Depp has revealed director Tim Burton once tormented him by dragging him through mud and horse manure. The 44-year-old actor says his worst ever movie experience came when the pair were working on 1999's 'Sleepy Hollow' and Tim made him hold on to a carriage while "curry"-fuelled horses pulled him through stinking waste. Johnny recalled: "One morning when we were filming 'Sleepy Hollow', Tim called me to the set, pointed to two large horses strapped to a carriage and said, 'This is what we are going to be doing today.' I was to hold on to the carriage behind the horses, being dragged along through the muck.
"The horses must have fed on curry. I've never smelt anything like that." Johnny, who says the foul stunt has put him off working with horses for life, faced another challenge when he was reunited with Tim for musical 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'. The Hollywood star recently revealed he was terrified of singing in the movie and had to take singing lessons from his long-term partner, French singer Vanessa Paradis.
Johnny said: "I knew I wasn't tone deaf but I didn't know if I'd really be able to hold the notes or belt out a tune." Tim insists Johnny "exceeded all expectations" with his vocal performance as the murderous London barber. He said: "I always had every confidence in him and he needn't have worried at all. "His performance was wonderful and exceeded all of my expectations. He is a great actor.
