Gary Dourdan pleaded guilty to drug possession & received no jail time
Gary Dourdan pleaded guilty to counts of cocaine and Ecstasy possession during his arraignment earlier today. He was charged with three counts of felony drug possession following his arrest late April. The heroin charge was dismissed. His lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley said, “As a result of today’s proceedings, Gary has been given diversion (a drug treatment program). He very much regrets what happened and he’s very embarrassed by what occurred, but he’s looking forward to moving on and getting back to work.”
So he gets to walk free, basically, after pleading guilty? The justice system is so screwed up.
Gary Dourdan got charged with three felonies
Former CSI star Gary Dourdan has been charged with three felonies for possession of a controlled substance, sources say. He got one charge each for the heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy.
In case you forgot, he must’ve partied too much at Coachella. I guess he’s not a big enough star to try to pass off “the coke wasn’t mine” excuse.
CSI star Gary Dourdan arrested for possession of Coke, Heroin, Ecstasy
CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested for suspicion of possession of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and prescription drugs yesterday. The cops found Gary in his car, asleep, with his car parked on the wrong side of the street at 5am in Palm Springs. The officer described Dourdan as “disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” according to a statement by the Palm Springs Police Department.
“The officer subsequently located suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs, and paraphernalia,” the statement continued. He was carted off to jail in Palm Springs, but later posted $5,000 and was released. I could probably make a ton of forensic jokes about the fingerprints on the baggie of drugs or pill bottles, but I have to wonder what gave the police probable cause to search his vehicle? Were Gary Dourdan’s rights violated? Dourdan was then taken to a jail in Palm Spring but posted $5,000 bail and was released at 10:30 a.m. His rep could not immediately be reached for comment.
